Israeli President Isaac Herzog is urging the government to approve the hostage-ceasefire agreement when it is put to a vote. Speaking to the nation from his office, Herzog expressed his support for “the prime minister and the negotiating team for its efforts to reach a deal.”

He emphasized that both the security cabinet and the full cabinet, who are slated to vote on the framework tomorrow, must approve the deal “to bring our sons and daughters home,” according to the president.

Herzog further stressed, “There is no higher Jewish value than returning captives home.”
