Dear Matzav Inbox,

It is an utter travesty that Israel, the only democratic nation in the Middle East, finds itself cornered into negotiating with Hamas, a brutal and barbaric terrorist organization, in order to secure the release of hostages it holds. The deal currently being discussed, which involves Israel halting its military operations in exchange for the release of hostages, is nothing short of a disgrace.

Releasing thousands of terrorists, including convicted murderers and those responsible for the deaths of countless innocents, is a decision that will come back to haunt Israel. The message this sends to the world is abhorrent: that the lives of our citizens can be traded for the freedom of those who wish to destroy us.

Releasing these terrorists will not lead to peace; it will embolden those who continue to plot against us. Israel has already made the fatal mistake of releasing terrorists in the past, only to watch as they return to the battlefield, killing more of our brothers and sisters.

This deal will only set the stage for more violence, more bloodshed, and more loss of life.

Equally troubling is the fact that Israel is being forced to halt its fight against Hamas. This is a terrorist organization that has massacred over 1,200 Israelis and taken over 250 hostages. Now, Israel is being asked to stop the very military campaign that aims to eradicate this evil in exchange for a handful of hostages.

Hamas is not a legitimate political entity—it is a terrorist group that thrives on violence and hatred. The idea that Israel must stop its efforts to dismantle Hamas in order to secure the return of its citizens is not only misguided but perilous. It will embolden Hamas, allowing it to regroup, reorganize, and continue its mission to annihilate the Jewish state.

This is not a negotiation. It is an extortion attempt.

Hamas is holding innocent lives hostage, and Israel is being forced to appease them in the most tragic way possible. Negotiating with terrorists is never a victory—it is a surrender to terror, and a failure to protect the very principles that Israel stands for. Israel should not be forced to negotiate with those who have committed unspeakable atrocities against its people.

The consequences of this deal are catastrophic. By releasing terrorists, halting its military campaign, and negotiating with a terrorist organization, Israel will set a dangerous precedent. It will show that terror works—that when innocent lives are held hostage, the state will be forced to give in. The ramifications of such a move will be felt for generations.

I don’t know who to blame here. Biden? Trump? Bibi? Someone else? The hostage families? Whoever it is should be ashamed.

Israel’s obligation is to protect its people, not to negotiate with those who seek to destroy it.

This deal is a terrible idea, and the government must reject it outright. The fight against Hamas must continue until they are defeated once and for all, and no deals should be made that compromise Israel’s security or its moral standing in the world.

Sincerely,
Seeing with Clarity
