A suspect has been taken into custody after a troubling incident in Staten Island, New York, in which two people on a motorcycle were caught on video knocking off the yarmulka from a Jewish man’s head.

The incident took place as the victim was walking across a street.

Yaacov Behrman, the Director of the Jewish Future Alliance, shared an update on X, stating: “Good news: On Friday, the NYPD arrested the individual who grabbed a Jewish person’s yarmulke on November 10 in Staten Island. Thanks to @NYPD121Pct, @NYPDHateCrimes, and @SISPShomrim for their efforts. The suspect is wanted for a violent crime, which will take priority, but it’s good to see they got him.”
