Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, filed a formal complaint with the UN Secretary-General following the release of a report on the ‘Right to Food,’ which accuses Israel of perpetrating genocide through the act of starvation.

“This appalling report is nothing more than an effort to distort the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and incite hatred against Israel,” said Danon. “Rather than addressing broader trends related to the right to food for all, as mandated by the Human Rights Council, the report masquerades as an objective document but is, in reality, a political manifesto with the intent to distort the history of the Jewish people and Israel while advancing anti-Semitic rhetoric.”

Danon further remarked, “Moreover, the report completely overlooks the starvation of the hostages still being held by Hamas and neglects to hold the terrorist group accountable for the mishandling and theft of humanitarian aid in Gaza.”

The Ambassador wrapped up his complaint by urging the Secretary-General to withdraw the report from the General Assembly and to publicly denounce the anti-Semitic illustrations included in the document. “It is disgraceful that such a report was disseminated to the General Assembly under your authority.”
