According to two new polls conducted by The New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, and Siena College, former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris each lead in one of the key swing states.

In Arizona, Trump is ahead of Harris with 51% of the vote compared to her 46%, showing a significant margin as his lead is beyond the poll’s margin of error. Trump’s growing popularity in Arizona has been boosted by strong backing from independent voters and Hispanic men. On economic issues, 56% of voters in the state prefer Trump, compared to 41% for Harris. Similarly, on immigration, Trump leads 55% to 42%.

Meanwhile, Harris holds the advantage in Pennsylvania, leading Trump 50% to 47%. Her lead is bolstered by an 18-point margin among voters who prioritize abortion as the top issue. However, when it comes to the economy, Trump is favored by 54% of Pennsylvanians compared to Harris’ 43%. On immigration, the former president also leads in the state with 55% of voters supporting him over Harris’ 42%.

The New York Times/Siena College poll surveyed 857 likely voters in Pennsylvania between October 7 and October 10, with a margin of error of +/- 3.8 percentage points. In Arizona, the poll gathered responses from 808 likely voters during the same time frame, with a margin of error of +/- 3.9 percentage points.
