IDF Soldiers operating on the ground in the Jabaliya area of northern Gaza Strip are revealing how Hamas’s combat capabilities that have improved since the last IDF invasion of the area.

IDF soldiers provided i24NEWS disturbing reports, including that terror tunnels the IDF had dealt with over half a year ago in Jabaliya have been repaired enough that Hamas is once again fighting out of them.

The soldiers also reported how Hamas was well prepared for the most recent ground operation in northern Gaza, with Hamas terrorists having set up cameras, booby-traps, and locked doors ahead of the IDF’s arrival.

Disturbingly, the soldiers said that Hamas fights as it did “at the beginning of the ground offensive,” both in terms of the quantity and lethality of weapons used, and in their willingness to approach IDF forces and fight.

Meanwhile, security officials are investigating reports that Hamas terrorists have been able to navigate from location to location in the area by blending in with the civilian population, without proper inspection.

According to the IDF, in the last 24 hours, the 162nd Division eliminated about 20 terrorists in Jabaliya, both in on the ground fighting, and through air strikes.

The 401st Brigade, also operating, located and destroyed a weapons depot.
