Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu today sharply criticized French President Emmanuel Macron for urging a cessation of arms shipments to Israel, as the country remains engaged in conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon.

“As Israel battles the barbaric forces directed by Iran, every nation that values civilization should be standing unequivocally with Israel. Yet, President Macron, along with other Western leaders, is advocating for an arms embargo against Israel. It’s truly disgraceful,” Netanyahu said in a statement from his office.

Netanyahu emphasized that Israel is confronting threats on multiple fronts, all of which are backed by its longtime adversary, Iran.

“Is Iran limiting its support for Hezbollah, the Houthis, Hamas, or its other agents? Absolutely not,” he pointed out, referring to the Tehran-backed groups that are part of Iran’s broader “axis of resistance” against Israel.

“This network of terror remains united, but nations that claim to oppose this terror alliance are now pushing for an arms embargo on Israel. What a shameful act!” he said.

Netanyahu asserted that Israel would ultimately prevail, with or without the support of these nations.

“But their disgrace will be remembered long after the war is won,” he added.

“Make no mistake, Israel will fight until victory is secured—for our people and for the preservation of peace and security worldwide.”
