Former President Trump harshly criticized Vice President Kamala Harris, labeling her as “mentally impaired” while he lambasted her handling of the border in a lengthy and intense speech during his campaign stop in Wisconsin today.

“Joe Biden became mentally impaired. Kamala was born that way … only a mentally disabled person could have allowed this to happen to our country,” said Trump, 78, as the crowd in Prairie du Chien erupted in applause.

Trump continued by calling Harris a “very dumb person” during his address.

The primary focus of his speech was on immigration, a central theme of his campaigns. He painted a grim picture of a country overtaken by illegal immigration, sharing vivid and shocking details during his remarks.

“Just this month, right here in this beautiful town, police arrested an illegal alien, member of a savage Venezuelan prison gang,” Trump declared.

“This vile monster was charged with holding a mother and daughter captive against their will and sexually assaulting them again and again. This animal crossed Kamala’s wide-open border, along with hundreds of thousands of others that are worse than him.”

Alejandro Jose Coronel Zarate, 26, was arrested and charged with sexually and physically assaulting a woman in what officials described as a particularly brutal attack, during which he also held her and her young daughter against their will.

Harris, according to Trump, is allowing dangerous individuals to enter the country. “She’s letting in people who are going to walk into your house, break [through] your door, and they’ll do anything they want. They’ll do anything they want. These people are animals,” Trump added.

“They make our criminals look like babies. These are stone-cold killers. They’ll walk into your kitchen. They’ll cut your throat,” he warned.

In battleground state Wisconsin, polling shows significant concern among voters, with more than 40% fearing that the U.S. is on the path to becoming a failed state.

Throughout the speech, Trump occasionally shifted to other topics that are frequently part of his rhetoric.

He informed the audience that he was prepared for the 2024 election and would take action against anyone attempting to manipulate the outcome if he wins.

“If we win and when we win, we’re going to prosecute people that cheat on this election,” Trump stated. “And if we can, we’ll go back to the last one, too … You need two things, strong borders and fair elections. And we have neither.”

Trump also alleged that Harris aims to legalize the dangerous drug fentanyl in the United States.

“She’s so radical, she even wants to legalize fentanyl right away. Fentanyl will kill you just a little tiny on the top of a pin,” Trump said. “I have so many friends that have lost their children to fentanyl.”

At another point, Trump touched on the legal troubles of New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who recently faced several federal charges, including bribery, wire fraud, and conspiracy. Trump speculated that Adams was targeted because of his outspokenness on the migrant issue in New York.

“[Migrants] all over the place. And I’m telling you what I said before, these towns, these little towns and cities, and by the way, the big cities too. New York, look what’s happened in New York. And they went after the mayor of New York because he was saying, we can’t do this. We can’t do that. They just indicted him,” Trump claimed, referring to the prosecutors as “vicious monsters in our government.”

Earlier that same day, Senator JD Vance, Trump’s running mate, spoke about immigration, pledging a “compassionate” approach to border control.
