A hungry 1-year-old whose Tatty got laid off…For the third time this year.
A shivering little girl whose mother is deciding how to use her last few pennies– A warm coat, or bread and milk?
Harav Boruch Mordechai Ezrachi, like many of the world’s leading Rabbanim, has been overwhelmed this winter with stories of families so poor they can’t afford to properly feed their children.
The pressing question is: How will the livelihood of Klal Yisroel be sustained?
Rav Boruch Ezrachi shlitta gave an emotional response this week in a passionate video:
Upon the recent loss of his wonderful wife, Shulamis Ezrachi a’’h, Harav Boruch Mordechai Ezrachi shlita has officially founded “The Bread and Milk Fund”, an incredible cause to help innocent Israeli children on the brink of starvation. In his moving video, he gave a passionate brocha for those who partake in this critical mitzvah:
“Whoever merits to give Jewish children bread and milk…Your parnassah should be doubled! With health and nachas from all your descendants.”
His blessing is included on a document called a “Shtar Parnassah”: A binding legal contract between donors and Rav Ezrachi that they have fulfilled the mitzvah and received the incredible bracha.
One of the basic principles of business is to “get it in writing.” The Shtar Parnassah and Rav Ezrachi’s powerful blessing to double your income with health and nachas from your descendents is a reminder that the financial success of the Jews lies in their commitment to mitzvos like tzedaka.
