A rare visit took place last night in Yerushalayim, as the Gerer rosh yeshiva, RRav abbi Shaul Alter, went to the residence of the nosi of the Moetzet Chachmei Hatorah of Shas, Rav Shalom Cohen, rosh yeshivat Porat Yosef, in honor of Chol Hamoed.

Rav Cohen honored the rosh yeshiva with a lechayim and then the two spoke in learning.

Rav Alter thanked Rav Cohen for the special hospitality shown to his kehillah, as “Our Talmud Torah and our yeshiva operate under the Bnei Yosef network and we greatly appreciate it.”

Later, they talked about the greatness of the chachamim of Seforad and the Ashkenazi Torah greats.
