There are three basic ways to obtain ground beef for a burger. You can either buy it ground, grind it yourself, or hand chop it. Whether you plan on grinding meat yourself or buying from your butcher, knowing the process will educate you well enough to at least order it properly. So read on with open ears and absorb the information. And fear not: If you choose to buy the meat pre-ground it won’t “grind” my gears. At least you will be making an educated choice.
