The Czech Republic announced on Saturday that it was expelling 18 suspected Russian spies — all operating under diplomatic guise — over alleged links to a deadly explosion in 2014.

During a press conference in Prague, Prime Minister Andrej Babis said the country had “clear evidence” that connected the officials with a blast at an ammunition warehouse that killed two people.

The PM said he received the information on Friday and did not explain the timing of the decision to move ahead with the expelling.
