Israel’s Health Ministry registered Tuesday eight more COVID-19 deaths, bringing the country’s death toll to 1,147.
New data released by the ministry showed 3,189 new infections detected since midnight, as the total count since the outbreak of the pandemic rose to 164,402.
On Monday, a total 4,913 cases were diagnosed over the course of 24 hours, with a test ratio positive of 10.6 percent. Tuesday’s percentage was slightly lower at 9.7.
There are currently 42,528 active cases in the country, among those 534 patients in serious condition — including 138 on artificial respirators — and 213 individuals in moderate condition.
