President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team is reportedly exploring the idea of temporarily relocating some of the two million people living in the Gaza Strip while the area undergoes rebuilding efforts after the war initiated by Hamas against Israel, according to NBC News.
A source connected to the incoming Trump administration revealed that Indonesia is one of the countries being considered as a potential location for this temporary resettlement.
As the ceasefire continues, Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, is expected to maintain a near-constant presence in the region to oversee compliance with the ceasefire agreement by all involved parties.
The report also indicated that Witkoff is contemplating a visit to the Gaza Strip itself as part of his efforts in the region.
