The Fire and Rescue Services of Israel’s Central District Command issued a closure order for the Be’er Yaakov Yeshiva campus due to the lack of fire safety arrangements at the location for several years.
During an inspection at the yeshiva, located in the Be’er Yaakov municipality, serious safety deficiencies were found, which, according to the fire department, pose a real danger.
Sources reveal that the yeshiva’s director was summoned for a hearing in recent days, and in the meantime, the fire department issued an immediate administrative closure order for the yeshiva.
The Be’er Yaakov Yeshiva, which is already in a difficult financial situation, was devastated by the news. As a result, the talmidim will now have to relocate and learn at other locations.
Some of the talmidim will begin learning this week at the Radin Yeshiva campus in Netanya, while others will go to the Nachalas Yosef Yeshiva in the Givat Shaul neighborhood of Yerushalayim.
