A historic event took place today at Barclays Center in Brooklyn in honor of Chof Alef Kislev, as the kehillah of Rav Zalman Leib Teitelbaum gathered to mark the 80th anniversary of the miraculous salvation of the Divrei Yoel of Satmar.

The event was graciously sponsored by mega philanthropist R’ Yoel Landau, whose support of Satmar institutions is well know. His generosity and dedication to the growth of Torah institutions in Satmar have made him a beloved figure within the community.

During the event, R’ Yoel Landau addressed the attendees, sharing words of inspiration and highlighting the significance of the day. In a remarkable announcement, R’ Yoel, in collaboration with Mr. Yaakov Schwimmer and other distinguished partners, revealed a monumental gesture for the employees of Satmar Mosdos under Rav Zalman Leib Teitelbaum’s leadership. He shared that, as of now, all employees of the Satmar Mosdos, those working within the institutions of the Williamsburg Satmar Rebbe, will receive a 30% raise in their salaries.

“This gesture is not just a financial boon for the dedicated staff but carries profound significance within the kehillah,” a Satmar askan told Matzav.com. “The raise highlights the kehillah’s deep appreciation for the efforts of its mechanchim, administrators, and support staff, providing them with the financial stability they deserve.”

The announcement was met with resounding applause, as it reflects not only financial support, but also an acknowledgment of the vital role these individuals play in the Satmar kehillah.

R’ Yoel is the founder of the Allure Group, which specializes in purchasing and improving nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities in the United States, and AlphaCare company. He was born and raised in Kiryas Yoel, New York and learned in the Satmar mosdos.
