The Israel Defense Forces reported that drones launched from Lebanon entered Israeli airspace and eventually crashed following several failed attempts to intercept them.

For 20 minutes, drone alert sirens blared across a wide area, from communities near the Lebanese border to locations southeast of Haifa, along Israel’s coast. The IDF later declared the situation resolved.

According to military officials, three drones were launched from Lebanon. However, the IDF did not specify how many of them ultimately crashed.

The incident resulted in no injuries, the army confirmed.

“Three UAVs were identified crossing into Israeli territory from Lebanon,” the IDF stated in a brief announcement. “Interception attempts were made, impacts were identified in the Western Galilee.”

A video circulating online appears to show one of the drones flying unchallenged in clear view near the Haifa area.
