The Rishon Letzion Magistrates Court has authorized the publication of information regarding a prosecutor’s statement filed by the State Prosecution against seven Jewish individuals from Haifa and northern Israel. Among the suspects are an IAF deserter and two minors, who are accused of collaborating with an Iranian agent and performing various assignments on their behalf.

The individuals are allegedly involved in tasks such as photographing and gathering intelligence on IDF bases and facilities, including the Nevatim and Ramat David Airbases, the Kirya in Tel Aviv, Iron Dome batteries, and other strategic sites. They were reportedly also given maps of sensitive locations, including the Golani Training Base.

The accused are Azis Nisnov, Alexander Sadikov, Yigal Nisan, Vyacheslav Gushchin, Ivgeni Yupa, along with two minors whose identities remain undisclosed. The prosecutor is expected to file formal charges against them on Friday at the Haifa District Court, accusing them of committing serious security-related offenses.

The State Prosecutor’s Office described this as one of the most significant cases in recent years, although Israel has previously apprehended Russian espionage networks. The investigation has been under close supervision for several weeks by key figures including Atty. Shelley Zeevi-Barzilai, head of the security team at the Haifa District Prosecutor’s Office, Atty. Einav Itsko-Gold, and Deputy State Prosecutor for Special Matters, Alon Altman.

Details currently available reveal that for more than two years, the suspects were involved in a series of activities directed by Iranian intelligence operatives. They allegedly worked under the guidance of two Iranian agents who were in contact with them and tasked with recruiting Israeli citizens.

The suspects are believed to have received substantial payments, amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars, paid via cryptocurrency and other means, for executing their assignments.

Some of the suspects were involved in the operations for over two years, and all of them are accused of working for the Iranian agents during a period when Israel was engaged in a multi-front struggle against Iranian-backed forces.

The operation included various intelligence-gathering activities, such as photographing military sites and other critical infrastructure, as well as other forms of reconnaissance.

As previously noted, the prosecution plans to file an indictment against the seven suspects and will seek their detention until the conclusion of the judicial process.

This case adds to a growing list of similar espionage-related incidents reported in recent weeks.
