On Motzei Shabbos, IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari gave a report to the press on the progress of Israel’s operations in Lebanon over Rosh Hashanah and Shabbos.

“Since the start of the ground invasion, around 440 Hezbollah terrorists were eliminated, including 30 commanders of varying ranks,” Hagari said.

“We are pushing Hezbollah northwards,” Hagari said.  “Some of the terrorists have escaped, some of them are defeated by our forces in face-to-face clashes.”

Additionally, Hagari revealed footage from inside a Radwan force terror tunnel, intended to be used in an October 7th style attack on northern Israel.

The tunnel was destroyed by the Paratroopers Brigade, Yahalom Unit and the Northern Command Combat Engineering Unit, under the command of the 98th Division, in collaboration with special forces units.

Israeli forces found command centers, combat packs, and large stockpiles of weapons, alongside living quaters for the terrorists, complete with showers, a kitchen, and large supplies of food.

Hagari emphasized that “The underground infrastructure did not cross into Israeli territory.”
