The national airline of the UAE, Emirates, is now banning pagers and two-way radios on its flights.

On Friday, the airline wrote in a statement: “All Passengers traveling on flights to, from or via Dubai are prohibited from transporting pagers and walkie-talkies in checked or cabin baggage.

“Such items found in passengers’ hand luggage or checked baggage will be confiscated by Dubai Police.”

The ban comes after the pager and walkie-talkie explosions targeting Hezbollah, mostly in Lebanon.

A day after the pager attack, Qatar Airways announced a ban on pagers and walkie-talkies on their flights departing from Beirut. Multiple airlines have paused flights to Beirut recently.
