On Sunday evening, the IDF released a photo of Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi at his desk. In the background of the photo, there was a screen showing the leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah, with the terrorists eliminated crossed off. However, keen observers noticed that over the face of Hamas terror leader Yahya Sinwar, the IDF had place a question mark.

Last week rumors spread about the status of Sinwar. Reports surfaced that the terror leader had been out of contact for a while, and that there were disagreements within the Israeli security establishment about his status. However defense officials emphasized there was no concrete information about his status, and no Israeli strikes targeting areas he was believed to be hiding in.

On Shabbos, following the elimination of Hezbollah terror leader Hassan Nasrallah, the Saudi network Al Arabiya reported that Sinwar had changed his location in Gaza to avoid being targeted, and that Hamas had adjusted it’s security protocols.
