An atzeres tefillah originally scheduled to take place this coming Sunday, September 22, at 450 Broad Street in Newark, NJ, has been postponed.

The event, planned as a response to the ongoing gezeiras giyus (military draft) crisis in Eretz Yisroel, is now on hold after the state of New Jersey declined to approve the necessary permits for the gathering.

The atzeres, which was to run from 1 PM to 5 PM, had garnered support from admorim and gedolei roshei yeshivos. The event, titled “זעקת הגולה” (“The Cry of the Exile”), aimed to bring together participants to daven for the protection of Torah institutions in Eretz Yisroel. Posters and promotional material for the atzeres carried the slogan “כולכם נקבצו באו לך,” urging mass attendance.

As of now, no further details have been provided regarding a rescheduled time or location for the event.
