A scooterist was injured in an accident in Lakewood this afternoon. The accident happened at the intersection of Central Avenue and Valley Road. Injuries were initially believed to be serious, but appear now to be minor. Emergency personnel are reminding riders to use extreme caution when riding scooter scooters around town.
