Rep. James Comer, a Republican from Kentucky, expressed his strong reaction to the congressional testimony of Devon Archer, a former associate of Hunter Biden, during an interview on “Greg Kelly Reports.” Comer, as the chair of the House Oversight Committee, attended the testimony where Archer made several significant claims.
Comer mentioned that Archer appeared to be under immense pressure, with Biden’s attorneys allegedly threatening and intimidating him. He stated that despite the circumstances, Archer provided crucial answers, including confirming that Joe Biden did communicate with individuals who were sending money to his son while he was vice president. This contradicts Joe Biden’s previous denials, and Comer pointed out that over 20 such communications took place.
Archer’s testimony also raised concerns about potential violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) by the Biden family, as they were allegedly receiving large sums of money from foreign nationals. Comer emphasized that these individuals Hunter Biden put his father in contact with were not reputable and were linked to various investigations in their home countries.
Moreover, Archer’s testimony indicated that the owners of Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company, pressured Hunter Biden to intervene and get a prosecutor fired. This aligns with Joe Biden’s previous admission that he had urged Ukraine to remove the prosecutor, leading to accusations of corruption.
Comer believes that the evidence continues to pile up, pointing directly at Joe Biden’s involvement. He asserted that more witnesses will be called, bank records will be published, and the investigation will move forward. Comer expressed that he sees the situation as a growing snowball that shows no signs of stopping, and he believes that the walls are closing in on the Bidens.
Regarding the possibility of impeachment, Comer stated that it would be a decision for Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
