Anti-judicial reform protesters on Motzei Shabbos broke through police barricades and marched down Ayalon Highway in Tel Aviv, while clashing with the police. Some of the protesters then lit a bonfire in the middle of the highway. All roads to Tel Aviv were closed until after midnight. Two police officers were bitten by protesters and several others were beaten and had to be evacuated for medical treatment. Police arrested 21 protesters. Also, a police investigation was opened after a video was publicized showing one of the protesters spraying the highway with the words: “Bibi the traitor.” Despite the fact that he was vandalizing state property, a violation of the law, he was ignored by the police.
