Once again, Israelis on Motzei Shabbos protested against the government’s planned judicial reforms and the “end of democracy.” During the protest in Tel Aviv, protesters waved a huge banner with an image of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu next to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini. The banner stated in English: “From start-up nation to shut-down nation.” (YWN Israel Desk – Jerusalem)
