Almost every seminary girl and yeshiva boy who flies to Israel for their gap year hopes to gain live inspiration from Rabbi Shraga Kallus, a Rosh Kollel and Posek whose dynamic shiurim are a popular choice amongst TorahAnytime viewers as well. Rabbi Kallus is known for many things, but he is not commonly known for making public charity appeals. However, a riveting story he heard about a Ger named Avraham just might have changed his mind.   Rabbi Kallus explains that Avraham is an incredibly brave young man– He left everything familiar many years ago to follow the path of Torah and moved across the ocean to live in Eretz Hakadosh. But now, he has unfortunately found himself in a terrible situation– He is going through a severe medical crisis and he has no family, no one to pay for the expensive surgery that he needs direly.   Rabbi Kallus’s close friend Moshe Cohen, CEO of organization Bsiyata has been closely involved with the case and is joining hands with Rabbi Kallus in a daunting undertaking to raise the funds needed for Avraham to receive medical treatment in time.
